Measuring the Benefit to You
You want results. We work side-by-side with you to ensure achievement of those results.
Listed below are a few of the tools we use to measure employee health and productivity to give you concrete, objective view of program benefits and cost savings.
Lifestyle and Health Risk Appraisal
All employees are given the opportunity to participate in a Health Risk Appraisal, an insightful tool used to increase awareness of the relationship between lifestyle, attitude and wellness. The appraisal includes questions regarding productivity, physical activity, nutrition awareness, sleep, relaxation, environmental awareness, self-expression and creativity, community involvement, automobile safety, and parenting.
Analysis and feedback from the questionnaire will provide your employees a “bird’s eye” view of their lifestyle choices and support their efforts to implement change in areas that are important to them.
State of the Art Physical Fitness Testing and Individual Feedback
Expert supervision and the tools to analyze and track your fitness are a necessity. iWellcare staff tracks flexibility, strength, heart rate, blood pressure, aerobic fitness, and body-fat percentage. Employee statistics are compared to detailed national standards and used to provide recommendations for fitness improvement. Employee fitness records are saved and reviewed over time to measure personal progress and facilitate goal setting.
Blood Composition Analysis and Executive Health Screens
We offer blood screening services including cholesterol and blood glucose testing. Results are available in 24 hours and are extremely helpful in identifying special areas of focus for individual and employee group wellness goals. Full-featured executive health screens are also available that include:
- Medical examination and physical screening by a physician
- Resting/exercise electrocardiogram and blood pressure
- Complete blood count and comprehensive metabolic profile
- Thyroid screening
- Blood lactate testing
- Exercise and resting metabolic testing
- VO2 max testing
- Sweat sodium analysis
- Gait analysis
- Nutritional consultation with registered dietitian
Individual Guidance and Monitoring for Progress
One of the keys to a successful program is the personal involvement and interaction between our staff and your employees. We encourage all participants, therefore, to keep a journal of their efforts, goals, progress and obstacles. These journals are then used as a basis for discussion in a scheduled, voluntary review period with each employee.
Journal Review Day gives all participants the chance to receive personal and confidential guidance from our staff, to ask questions about their specific challenges, and discuss future productivity and wellness goals. We find this personal attention invaluable in generating the involvement and commitment needed to make your program successful.

Employee Self-Assessments
An important measure of program effectiveness is how individual employees view their personal progress. Employee Self-Assessments are questionnaires participating employees fill out indicating how they feel they have benefited from the program. These questionnaires allow employees to gauge on-the-job productivity, energy levels and mental clarity, and exercise and dietary improvements through objective and subjective measurements.
Incentive and Motivational Programs
Reward and competition activities are frequently used to promote productivity and wellness, and to generate enthusiasm for the program. Our staff can administer incentive programs according to any criteria appropriate for your company, either through rewards based on basic program participation, or as incentives for meeting individual or group goals.
Measuring Cost Savings
Wellness programs help strengthen the communication between management and employees and build a spirit of teamwork within your organization that improves your bottom line. Each of the following cost-saving factors will be reviewed with you quarterly or within a mutually arranged time frame:
- Increased employee productivity: Active lifestyle and personal energy management strategies enable employees to make positive life changes, reduce stress, improve physical health, and deal with everyday conflicts and challenges in a constructive way. The result is measured in employees who are on the job day after day, performing more of the fundamental important tasks in less time.
- Reduced absenteeism: Your employees learn to apply nutrition, activity and stress management principles that keep them in top condition. Healthy employees take better care of themselves and their families, get more done on the job, and take fewer sick days.
- Employee insurance costs: Reap financial rewards of health care cost savings as employees improve their health and wellbeing.
- Improved employee morale and teamwork: Active participation in group wellness programs helps ensure the success of all. When co-workers are involved in wellness together, an environment of cooperation and support instills teamwork and accomplishing more in less time.
